Love Initiative

Love Initiative has been designed to put our vision into action; it will use different creative ways to take the good news of Jesus to “every door” in Bellevue to help accomplish the mission of saturating our city and our world with the heart of God.

On Saturday, February 10 from 9am-1pm, we are going to be volunteering in the food pantry of Heartland Hope Mission (HHM). Per HHM safety guidelines, prior to volunteering, all individuals must fill out the volunteer form online at this link:

We will meet at the south entrance of 2021 U Street Omaha, NE 68107 (the green door) at 9am. HHM staff will begin training volunteers at 9:10am and we will begin serving clients at 9:35am until 1pm. We will not have time for a lunch break during the 4 hour shift, so please make sure to eat a good breakfast that morning before arriving.

Volunteers must be ages 12 and up. A parent or guardian must accompany ages 12-15 to volunteer. For your safety and comfort, please wear tennis shoes (no sandals/no open-toed shoes/no high heels), jeans or khaki pants, and wear a jacket or coat if weather is chilly. Please adhere to the dress code policy as a safety precaution. Volunteers will be assisting HHM staff by distributing food, clothing, and hygiene items to families in need. They will train you on tasks upon your arrival. Note: some volunteers may be asked to assist families with unloading groceries into cars outside in the parking lot. Please come dressed to help outside in case you are asked to assist with that.

If you’d like to volunteer, complete the form below.
