Journey Groups - Bellevue Christian Center

Journey Groups (JGs) are BCC groups of 15-20 people who meet in convenient locations throughout Bellevue and the metro area. JGs meet together weekly to pray, study the Word of God, and encourage one another in their walk with Christ. There are groups for adults, young adults, men, women, seniors, junior high, high school and special focus groups.

Here are eight great reasons to sign up for a Journey Group:

It’s a great beginning, mid or end week pepper-upper.
It’s where you can exercise and mature your love for others.
It prevents self-centeredness and isolation.
It’s a safe place to share your true or gut-level feelings.
It’s a great place to celebrate with others what God is doing in your life.
It’s a natural place to serve and develop your ministry gifting or calling.
It’s a place of spiritual protection by people who genuinely love and care for you.

Our next adult Journey Group session will begin the first week in February! Groups only meet for 60-90 minutes once a week. This really small time commitment will add so much value to your life!

Childcare is provided at BCC for Wednesday groups. For groups meeting on all other days, childcare is provided only if specified

JG#: A02 – Bible Secrets on Leadership | Adults

Time & Location: Room 201 | Wednesdays | 7pm

This study will include case studies on great bible leaders and how to develop your unique leadership calling. No matter where you are in your leadership journey, this group will equip you to move forward. It is the perfect opportunity to build relationship with other aspiring leaders. This is even for those who have never led a thing, but wonder if God will use them in this way someday.

In this study we will explore the fascinating account of the building of the Old Testament tabernacle. We'll discover together the life changing truths in an over looked and often misunderstood part of the Bible.

JG#: A07 – Intimate Understanding of His Heart | Adult

Time & Location: Prayer Room | Wednesdays | 7pm

The focus of this group is a scripture study on the names of Jesus with the goal of gaining a more intimate understanding of His heart and His nature. We will apply our study to worshipping the Lord and praying through scripture using a format called "Harp & Bowl". This session will use the book Prayer The Names of Jesus: A Daily Guide by Ann Spangler as our guide. There will be ample opportunity to actively participate or simply come and enjoy His presence. No musical talent is required but singers and musicians are encouraged.

JG#: A08 – Loving Like Jesus | Adults

Time & Location: Heartland Hope Mission (Omaha) | Tuesdays | 6pm

We will be serving with Heartland Hope Mission to saturate our city with God's heart. We will partner with them to put love into action by providing prayer, food, clothing and hygiene items to people in need.

Need a mid-week boost? Rise up early to pray and claim our city for Christ. We will specifically pray for our co-workers, places of employment, neighbors, friends, family and our community!

Do you struggle with having a regular devotional time? In this group we will encourage one another through our daily time in the classic devotional, Morning By Morning: The Devotions of Charles Spurgeon (updated by Jim Reimann). This group is a great tool to help you develop a regular time seeking the Lord and getting to know other women!

JG#: A12 – Practicing Christianity in Our Daily Lives | Spanish

Through studying the book of James we will learn to practice Christianity day by day. This book teaches about listening and doing, practicing love, faith and good works, having self discipline of the tongue, and many other topics so that we live like Jesus. The Bible study will be in Spanish, and we plan to pray for the needs of the people in the group! Practicando el Cristianismo en la Vida Diaria A traves del estudio de Santiago aprendermos a practicar el cristianismo dia a dia. Este libro ensena acerca de escuchar y hacer, vivir en amor, tener fe y buenas obras, tener disciplina propia con la lengua, y otros temas, de modo que podamos aprender a vivir como Jesus. Este estudio Biblico sera en Espanol y estaremos orando por las necesidades de la gente de este grupo.

Starting Point, formerly known as Alpha, is a journey of finding your place in God's story, whether you are a new Chrsitian or just curious about faith. Come as you are, be who you are and build relationships. There will be snacks, small groups and topical discussions each night.

A verse by verse conversational study of God's eternal purpose in and through Jesus Christ. This group will begin one week late on February 17. Don't forget to bring your Bible!
